Mt. Kun Expedition is one of the most picturesque expeditions. Located in the serene landscapes of Leh. Mt. Kun happen to be a standard level trek.

Itinerary:
Day 01: Arriving Leh
Day 02: Sightseeing around Leh.
Day 03: Drive Leh to Kargil (2800m) 6-7hrs
We drive at a leisurely pace down to the Indus valley – stopping at the popular sightseeing points. Nimu, the confluence of river Indus & Zanskar, Alchi monastery & Lamayuru monastery would be the main attractions for the day. Overnight Hotel in Kargil
Day 04: Drive to Shafat (3650m) 5hrs
You get the first views of the Nun-Kun peaks today as you take the bumpy road by the Suru River. You reach Shafat and rest. Overnight Camp
Day 05: Trek along the Shafat Nalla to Base Camp (4300m). We will organise our gear for the climb which would be transported to the Base Camp. It’s a couple of hours walk through meadows to Chasme and then largely on the moraine crossing the Shafat glacier to the Base Camp. Overnight Camp.
Day 06: Rest Day at Base Camp (4300m)
We follow the Shafat glacier all the way to Advance Base Camp and then back to base camp Overnight Camp
Day 07- 17: Climbing Period
We set up 3 camps above Base Camp roughly at the following altitudes C1- 5300m, C2-6050m, C3-6300m.
Day 18: Trek Base Camp to Shafat
We retrace the hike down to Shafat from Base camp. Overnight Camp
Day 19: Drive Shafat to Leh
We take the long drive from Shafat all the way back to Leh. 10-12 hrs. Overnight Hotel in Leh
Day 20: Fly Leh – Delhi. Debriefing at IMF
Take the early morning flight to Delhi, drive to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation for the mandatory debriefing of the expedition.
Trip ends!
Day 21: Buffer Day.
Trip Inclusions:
➢ All land transport of members and support team as per the itinerary above
➢ 03 night’s accommodation at Padma Hotel in Leh on full board or similar standard Hotel
➢ 01 night’s accommodation on twin share basis at a hotel in Kargil on full board
➢ All meals on the trek and on Expedition
➢ All the personal climbing gear (Boots, crampons, harness set, helmet, Ice axe, sleeping bag)
➢ Group climbing gear (Ropes, Anchors, Shovels, Slings etc.)
➢ Kitchen and Dining Tent & Toilet tent till Base Camp
➢ Twin sharing tents for all members at Base Camp
➢ Twin Sharing tents for the members on higher camps
➢ Porters or Horses to carry out the equipment/supplies to Base Camp
➢ Experienced climbing Sherpas, cook & camp staff.

➢ Any costs arising from early departure from the expedition.
